Found this a few years ago. I first didn't know what it was. I searched the scripted and found out it's a sundial! It's dated 1721. The light goes through a pin hole and strikes the area to give a time you have to move the hole to the specified month.. its attached to a chain and hung around your neck. Definitely hand made.
