Here's an old book that I got from an Estate Sale a few years ago.
"Lady's Book" "1863" It has everything a lady should know in 1863. Well maybe! The pictures are great, fashions of the day, patterns, recipes, new fangled gadgets! A fun book to look at! :^)
I've chosen some pictures of interest, as an example, if you would like to see a few more, I'll post another four!
    Thanks for looking!

Bill - I really love this book. I have a framed print and will post it when I can get a good picture of it through the glass.

Yes, here it is - how can 4 years go by so fast? I am very happy to be the next owner of this great old book. It is staying with me for a long while, then to my youngest sister who is a wonderful Godey's Lady. (She sews, shares via blog, is a Mom, cooks, has a career.) Thank you Bill for this gift!

billretirecoll, Just for grins, here are links to the corresponding images in the archive dot org e-copy.

I used single page view links, because there seems to be slightly different pagination between your hard copy and the hard copy that archive dot org used to create their e-copy:

      A NEW YEAR'S GIFT

      https://archive.org/details/godeysladysbook1863hale/page/n611/mode/1up

      THE OLD SEWING MACHINE

      TRAVELING OR WINTER HOOD

      https://archive.org/details/godeysladysbook1863hale/page/n615/mode/1up

In the case of the next two images, it does seem like a couple pages might be missing from your hard copy:

      PLAYING MAY PARTY
