Cindy B. was a girl I worked with in Toronto, I believe she was one of the Engineer's who left, personal secretary. Cindy was not a girl you would look back at if you ever passed by her. She was rather plain at work and did not seem to hold any beauty but I looked at her bone structure and thought she would be good, so I agreed to photograph her. She became an enigma in her photographs ! Some of the people I asked who worked on the same floor, do not remember her, so I am glad I had the negatives and I only remembered her name as I wrote Cindy B. on the negatives page.
I used black and white film and I coloured using Dr. Martin's Chromographic Airbrush water paints on some of the pictures.
She got her notice without any idea that she was the first at the company to be let go. I said we could cancel the session if she wanted but through tears she still wanted to do it. She had one lazy eye and I suggested I would pick up some false eyelashes that night. They worked well and you would never know she had that lazy eye.
I loved the photos, and this year I decided to go through all my old negatives and scan them in high quality. Will not be showing that much but I feel that I have been lucky to have met some of these people, even though I do not know what happened to them in that blink of time that passes ruthlessly in our lives !!~
I just got a spotlight award on Friday Jan 20, 2017, from Aminus3 for the second picture.
