Someone else posted about these - i think. These are about 5 or 6 inches across and quite heavy. they have older brass fittings where the loop is. i think they're somewhat old and a little special. does anyone know about them?

These are called Kugel decorations. The original ones are completely flat under the metal hanger. That one looks like a reproduction. I have a mix of both that go on display during Christmas.

thanks Efes. the cap on mine is the old kind and shows age. i'll take the cap off and get some pics today of the mouth.

i forgot to take a picture, but the holes are smooth and finished on these, so i think that they are the old ones, not the repros. yay!
by the way, these are big with thick glass and are very heavy.
