    This is one of the items that I purchased at a auction in a box of Items that were suppose to be African , but I don't believe that it is ,This design reminds me more of a middle eastern type, but I love it , the headrest is wonderfully carved and the bead work is beautiful

      Yes, it's African. This is a traditional beaded head rest from Ethiopia.

      Really! I'm Totally shocked! I guess I really got what I paid for , I'm just not used to seeing this type of bead work on African items, but I have seen it on India and Persian pieces, Thanks for the confirmation of Ethiopia CanyonRoad!
