    Good afternoon everyone,
After reading a couple of posts here in the last few days about Barbie dolls from fellow CW collectors I figured I would post this Bubble cut Barbie after reading Manikin's well informed post on one of her Barbie's.
The history on how this Barbie came into my possession goes back to the early 1980's when I wasn't really looking for anything special in the antique store or antique show when Barbie caught my eye. My daughter was young at the time and I remember both of my sisters played with Barbies in the 60's. I was sure my daughter would enjoy playing with the Barbie so I bought her.
As I found out my daughter had no interest in dolls at all and she never played with her.
Then a few years ago when my daughter settled into her new house she gave Barbie back to me..

The old Barbies are the BEST! Yours is MIB - Mint In Box. That's super.

Thank you for this link Efesgirl:) I can see the Barbies have different variations like the 1960's Gi Joes. Very interesting. I think I was lucky to receive some valuable information from a lady keen on Barbies about removing her earrings so her ears wouldn't turn green.

She's great Roddy! I love these really early Barbies and the graphics on the box are fabulous.

I almost said maybe you will have a grand daughter one day :-) if not a niece and keep her in family . Congrats on a new Grandson on his way ! I have a Grand Daughter maybe someday she will want my dolls but in meantime my daughter would take them all if I wasn't looking :-)

So great to hear that you and your daughter share a common bond with the passion for the Barbies:)) This would be nice to keep this Barbie in my family passing her on to maybe a grandaughter, niece.. who will enjoy to display her one day!!

Rod, first I didn't have Barbie's when I was younger......but in later years I've acquired some watches of like...lol. Do you remember Barbie's sister Skipper?
    12. roddyq roddyq, 7 years ago
Hi Kerry, there is a little booklet about Skipper inside the Barbie box in the above photos #3 and 4. Are there some early Skipper watches?

Glad she brings back great memories of you playing with your Barbies katherinescollections. For me the memories are just how young my daughter was then:))
