Everyone knows that the Mustang was the second muscle car. but this was not the case with Hot Wheels. The Custom Mustang was the first car "made" by Mattel. It consists of a Custom Mustang base and a Matchbox body.

All colors are fairly common except the following:

    US: Orange, "Watermelon"

    Hong Kong: Orange, Creamy Pink

This is a popular casting for "variationists" since this car has many variations available

Within the past week, a "hybrid" car has surfaced. Like the hybrid Barracudas, the hybrid Mustang is rare. In fact, the Mustang hybrid is far rarer than the 'Cudas. This hybrid Mustang is the only one known as of right now to exist.

64 1/2 mustang was the first pony car but the 1964 Pontiac GTO 389 is considered by many as the first muscle car as it came out before the Mustang. Just saying...lol

EJW-54 is 100 percent correct. The gto is considered the first muscle car and I also consider it the first muscle car. It is hard to dispute the 389 tri-power.
