Found this in my father's things...not sure what it is. Maybe some type of tie clip. Has pivoting clasp of some sort on one end.

Pocket watch chain & fob.
Nice fob chain. If you have a look over this you may find hallmarks - it looks gold.
The gate chain at the fob end and the chain links look Victorian to me.
