    Part 2... some of it is shiny, Some parts are dull. It's very intriguing . I can't find anything like it on the Internet. I googled everything from tinker boxes with a ship on the lid, jewelry boxes with a ship on the lid ... haha.. MB .... looks like that is in the inside. It looks old to me because of the feel of the dull parts.

      Trinket box or perhaps a butter dish? Can you do a pencil and tissue rubbing of the marking to bring out detail?
