Manikin
(46 items)

First I want to thank Phil for restoring this rare print . You are amazing !

This photo was done by James Montgomery Flagg who was best known for his work during WWII and painted poster of " A drawing of Uncle Sam and below it says I want you !" It was a recruitment poster to enlist .

These miniature manikins were used to teach girls to sew for war effort and all of the one's produced came with a pattern for a Nurse as they needed more Nurse's for War and it was a way to encourage young women to enlist along with a Nurse also they came with Military patterns for all branches of the service .

This is a Original Print that was glued on top of the box of a Simplicity miniature mannequin . It has water damage and is not flat as paper buckled when wet . This is a rare print and only one I have ever seen in my 30 years of collecting mannequins .

Our talented Phil restored the print . I am showing original and then his work on it . How beautiful it looks now .

Here is a photo of the mannequin photo represents also . She is 12 1/2 inch tall . She is not a doll but has no category to fit her into . She was not a store display mannequin she was a teaching aid .

Its a beautiful print, and I think I did a better job on this one than my retry on the larger scan. The mannequin itself seems impeccable, such fine condition. Thank you Manikin for letting me help you !!xoxo

I love it Mani. Takes a special person to be able to be a nurse. They seldom get the credit and appreciation they deserve. Anyone who has ever been in an Army field hospital has a great deal of respect for a nurse. Take it from someone who knows first hand.

Phil did an excellent job bringing the print back to life. Kudos to Phil for a job well done.
