Purchased this item for 40.00. It is wood veneer, 5 drawer dresser. It needs some work, it has broken chipped veneer on lower right side panel. I cannot find any makers marks, looks like there was a sticker on the backside but it's no longer there. Have spent tons of time on internet trying to find any info on it, with no luck. It is 50"H x 40"W x 29"D. All drawers are dovetailed and it is heavy. Not sure is antique or vintage. If anyone can give me some info on this piece I would appreciate it. I would like to revive it and bring back its luster and beauty but don't want to do anything until I can at least get an idea of age. Thanks in advance for any info.

It has Regency style brass metalwork attached which is a beautiful decorative element. So it imitates the Regency period. Cannot tell age from pics but guessing early 20th century.

I think Phil was a bit generous with his age estimate. That aside you provided one thing most people on here fail to do. You provided a picture of the drawer opening with the drawer removed. That probably sounds odd to you, however is shows wooden drawer runners and more importantly dust panels. This was a well constructed piece and you got one heck of a buy regardless of a few years either way.

Thanks for your reply's! I was also told that it could be 1920's or 1930's so my quest for info continues. I truly appreciate your comments it helps in my continued search.

4 months ago I posted this 2 over 3 Chest-on-Chest. I have spent countless hours, when added together I'm sure tally up to many days, researching this piece. I cannot nail down an approximate date of manufacture and/or the style. It seems to have some French, possibly Louis XVI, neoclassical......I'm just not sure. If I could just get some kind of information from someone I would so much appreciate it. I may end up taking one of the drawers and some pictures down to San Bernardino to an Antique shop and see if someone would be willing to spend a few minutes maybe helping me to identify it. Thanks in advance to anyone that can shed some light on this piece. I just LOVE IT and I want to bring it back to life. It has some missing veneer and lots of chips and scratches so I don't want to tackle refinishing it until I know what I have. The decorative pieces, rosettes and greek key design trim pieces are wood not metal. Thanks

I've looked in EVERY nook and cranny on it. I can see where there was a label or sticker on the back but it is gone, probably has been gone for years. The hunt continues.
