    I picked up this little bronze censer in a 2nd hand store in Berkeley yesterday. i don't know anything about it, but it has three feet and is definitely old. any info?

      The stand definitely looks Japanese. My friend owns a Japanese restraint with 2 huge jars on them. Will ask him what he thinks.

      the stand is just one i have kicking around and used for shooting the pictures.

      This reminds me of some furniture where I use a bronze tazza to fill with water. I imagine the Chinese used a lot of very small containers to hold water near the precious carved Chryselephantine ivory to keep it humid which helped to keep it supple and its best looking !~
