I have had this jewelry box for a little while, don't remember exactly where I got it from. This is an older piece that is in good condition. I'm not quite sure what this is made from - marble, some sort of stone? This piece is accented by a brass base and brass detailing around the edges.i'm thinking this is possibly from Italy, but again not quite sure. Any ideas would be appreciated

Yes mine is identical too. Most definitely made in India of their type of green onyx. Easy to mistake it like to alabaster from the photos, unless you look very close. I do believe they were made sometime likely in the 1970's and mine is not lined but has a small brass Jaguar emblem mounted on top which actually looks classy. I got mine from some lots of mascots that were sold a few years ago in an England Beaulieu autojumble.

Possibly, mine is still in box I believe, was trying to sell it but buyer did not come through on the funds so was a big waste of my time trying to sell it. :)
