This was left in the basement. Its mostly brass, the top is wood, and the round base on the bottom is cast iron. .. it has a plug in the back for the light. Definitely in need of being rewired. This was used in an old funeral home. I have a 1940s picture of it. Mostly to hold your bible or papers for a lecture. Thanks for looking!

How wonderful!!! I can't get over how many great things are found in basements!!!
I have a few more I'll be posting soon! Sad thing was this is the stuff the old lady didn't throw out..there was so much more. She thought she was doing us a favor by having a dumpster and cleaning crew come in. .they cleaned us out! I just wanted to cry when i found out.

Thank you! I thought it was a real neat find. I have a grandfather clock. That i found a picture in these pictures of as well. Now if someday we move and sell them. .they will go with them.
