I found these at a thrift shop and I love them but I don't know much about them. Someone suggested 1970s Oaxacan but I haven't found anything similar. They look a little like some New Mexican pottery I've seen. Any info would be appreciated!
These are Mexican, and 1960-1990s would be right time period, but they are from Ameyaltepec, in the state of Guerrero, not from Oaxaca.
If you'd like a reference to confirm, see the book "Ceramica, Mexican Pottery of the 20th Century" by Amanda Thompson. Her chapter on Guerrero (pages 172-177) shows many figural examples of this style of pottery, identified as being from the 1960s through 1996, and shows pottery from Mexcala, San Augustin de las Flores, and Ameyaltepec, three of the main pottery towns in the state of Guerrero.
All have basically the same style, hand-sculpted figures, fired, painted with a cream color engobe, and decorated with red and black lines and patterns.
