Fab d'armes neuhausen rifle that has been altered pretty significantly. It appears only the receiver is original and that makes identification fairly difficult. It is either an 1893 or a steyr m95 but i believe neuhausen to be a Swiss manufacturer.

Thabk you very much for the input. I've looked there, auction arms and gunbroker. While the m95 is quite similar I think you will find it does not have a detachable magazine. I believe this is one of the 4000 original 1893 rifles made by sig (I believe fab d'armes neuhausen is another name for them) it's still just a theory based on my limited research but I keep looking.

Never got into that era much, Roy. Usually black powder & sub-machine guns. Kind of diversified, eh ? Flintlocks & Schmeissers.
Huh Lucas,, I'm surprised .. The only machine guns I ever played with is a m16 with auto switch ,,50 cal 30 cal...and a Ozzie ...and only had one Thomson 50 cal black power in my life which I enjoyed shoot very much... To me it look like a carbine by Sig..
