a real tresure was waiting me-)

this piece of art is now mine and yours-)

a very rare an quite difficult to produce vase by meisenthal glassworks, in the burgun & schverer era.

this masterpiece takes no less than 2 weeks of complicated work.
the first "bubble" is handblown and marbelized with various colours.
after finishing the first step, need to take 48 hours to cold the glass.
if the glas broke not, the glass is devoted to decoraters to apply the enamel decoration. technic created by emile gallé and burgun & schverer both deposit at varoious patent offices.

after the enamel step the vase goes again to be heated up to 500° to fix the enamels, after then again 48 hours of cooling....

if the vase suvives that step, it goes again be heated to 500° and then the glasmaker applied on it a clear transluscent glass layer.

after this step.... cooling again for 48 h
this is the most "stressing part" the difference of the enameling structure and oxydes did this partvery dangerous.... and most of these extremly rares vases cracks.... and were definitly lost.

well the vase survives -) so after 48 cooling the vase goes to be acid etched, wheel carved , cutted to obtain thye hammered effect and finally gold guided...... and again a new "trip to the heat, bahamas playa 500° -) hu ! hu !! ...... then cooled again for 48 hours of stressing nights-)

thats it! the vase could be packed and sold-)

hop you did enjoy that crazy story-)

the paternity of the internal decoration is attributed to desire christian or eugene kremer.

    with the mounting h 13cm
