The color for the plain bakelite bangles was light green and over the years has oxidized into a baby's diaper color, sorry :-). Not bright enough to be butterscotch, not dark enough to be brown. If they oxidize a little more to green they are called "pea soup" (example of this is thick one in the middle of pic 1). Hard to get a good pic but basically every bracelet blends w/the stretch bracelet best.

But - they are pretty, look great worn together. Also to be fair - there are Lucite bracelets (1st and last in pic 1). The stretch bracelet is old - late 30's Lucite. Looks like Wurther carmels w/rootbeer hard candy (pic 2) doesn't it? I bought it w/stretched out elastic and finally fixed it using black cord elastic from Dritz/Prym..... And there's a mottled celluloid bangle as well (pic 3, 4th from bottom) which is also old 30's-40's. The newest bangle is the Lucite at bottom in pic 1 - a very nice "end of day" from the 70's.

I know this is not an easy color range to wear - but it works with goldenrod and avocado.....:-)

Lol for the "baby diaper" color :-)))
They are a very nice group, the color would pop out with a navy blue outfit!

Thomas - thank you for first love!

Kyra - I knew you would enjoy the color description. LOL and so true. Yes, it would look good w/navy blue!

I'm sure some chemical can bring them back or change colour all together. We just have to figure it out first.

Never knew plain bakelite changed colors so much, live n learn, wonder what I just forgot to make room for this new knowledge oh well must not have been too important... or was it.

Spiritbear - yes, there's a guy on ETSY who specializes in grinding, polishing bakelite w/power tools. It actually takes a layer of plastic off though and the original color will eventually oxidize again (in less than 40 years? That I am not sure about). It would be interesting to see how these all polish up though. Thanks for your comment!

Thanks Bijou, yes black or dark brown or maybe a sand color for Spring?

PoliticalPinback - Ha ha Yes, it's a little bit of extra info for my brain too :-)

Czechglass - always enjoy your comments. Right about paint! My apt. is so small it has to have boring white walls or would look like a cell LOL. That's my saguaro cactus skeleton - makes a great display.

Thank you friends for loving this diaper color: Mani, Aura, Phil, Mike, Fort, Ivonne, Zilla, Kevin :-)

Thank you Lisa - and how about my front yard! I like using organic items as display and accent decorations.

They look so appealing, and can imagine you wearing them as a group, clanking away stylishly.

Lisa: Thank you for your nice comment - my front yard is sand and full of fleas! Pictures on my post are from the patio with some plants....not too much though :-)

Bonnie - Thank you for being so PC but these are not soft caramel. They really are diaper :-) But, they look great in this grouping....

Karen - Thank you - yes I do wear them - clanking a little less loudly because they are all .25"-.5" largest. Toasting my CW friends :-)

Lisa - I'm glad my front yard is just sand :-) Sorry to hear about the awful grubs and losing your green grass!

      Thanks vintagelamp for your love.

lentilka - I thought by using that description many people (not just women) would know the exact color :-) Thanks for your nice comment.

Thanks for loves: Mike, Peggy and Elisabeth!
