This brooch was in the jewelry case along with some pot metal costume jewelry and various other uninteresting offerings.
Sticker priced 2.50. Whoever priced it probably thought it was a piece of mid-century costume jewelry from Germany. Whoever priced it has no knowledge of gold marks, either. Weight: 4.56 grams.

    :-)))))))))
    Thanks for stopping.

There was ``585 VI`` unidentified Italian jeweler in VICENZA, recorded c. 1969.
The fineness mark should be on the right, but difficult to tell. Or ``585`` really stands for 14K, but why ``VI`` ?

IVAN49 - what do you mean, why VI? The number to the right of the fineness mark is 410, which is the identifying number of the goldsmith.

So, ``585 VI`` is understood as 14 K fineness. But there was a jeweler ``585 VI`` in Vicenza.
``410`` is without town abbreviation. That`s very unusual for Italian legislation.
