    This is made of white metal - glazed and has a number - like a serial number engraved by hand into the bottom of it. it looks familiar, but i can't place it. does anyone know anything about this piece?

      ho2cultcha, this remind me of artist database number, the same you find on soapstone or stone made by Native American or this could also be the shape number, it's hard to say for sure, but lovely at the top.

      OMG ho2, I love this owl! It looks very 'dansk' to me and by the handwriting on the bottom, it looks very old. When I see that writing, it always reminds me of my grandmothers and every other grandmother around...their style of writing is what i mean.
