I rescued these two mignonette dolls that were bound for the hard rubbish truck. The cupie? doll is marked made in japan and the other is a German made bisque, strung with metal wire. They both still have lovely painted features.
The German bisque measures 3.4 inches and the other is slightly smaller 2.7 inches.

    PS
I have found a few more to add to the collection!

Very nice save :-) The German doll would have had a real human hair wig on . I call them Doll house bisque dolls .They date around 1900-30. Glad you didn't let them go into trash :-)

Thanks Manikin :) It will be fun dressing them! I will try to get a wig for the german doll.

They are so tiny it is easy to lose them!
They will probably pop up when you stop looking for them!
I'm looking forward to seeing your photos:) Do you have a wig for your little doll? I have looked at a few wig making videos on line and thinking to try my hand at making a human hair wig for the German doll with a cork pate.
