Hi everyone! I bought this a few years back, but know nothing about it's history. The inside has been papered, no labels. On each side there's a small ledge that perhaps supported a top shelf/drawer type compartment. Outside the leather handles are completely worn through and broken. The hardware holding the handles on are domed and have stars imprinted on each piece. On the bottom it appears to be black metal. On the wood alongside the metal it is stamped : 32 no. 203. There are four very small inset wheels which appear to be metal. The lock/hasp is diamond shaped. Then there are also two buckle down latches on either side of the lock. No key. Appear to have metal nailheads/tacks along the metal bands. The outer material appears to be painted or stained canvas. Little bits of rust. Pretty solid! I'm so very interested in anything you can tell me about this neat old trunk! Thank you for your help and your time!!

Nice flat top trunk from the early 1900's. Without a label hard to know who would have made it. It's a standard type and style of its day... nice find! The numbers stamped are most likely parts numbers as most often trunk parts were purchased by outside suppliers.
