I would really like to find out more about this pendant, there are no marks but it does test for high grade silver. I do have a couple of theories on who could be the maker, but I would love to hear if anybody could help me. As you can see it's certainly a well make Pendant and them lovely blue Schiller Moonstones are stunning. Any help would be most appreciated.

    Many thanks for looking.

Hi Jewels1900, when I first saw this pendant I was thinking Danish, then I looked at a couple of pieces by Omar Ramsden, I spotted the link below which is somewhat similar.

      http://johnkelly1880.co.uk/product/omar-ramsden/

Also could I throw in Liberty & Co, of course these are my thoughts at the moment.

Hi Karen, thank you. When I first saw this pendant I fell in love with them Moonstones the colours are amazing. The pendant itself is very well constructed and it is heavy, the shape also caught my eye.

Hi Judy, I really appreciate your comment :-)))

Hi Jean. Defiantly not Ramsden & Carr. The setting is too heavy. Also not Liberty, I think.

I can't recall seeing leaf-work like that before. I'm inclined to think you've got one of those nice anonymous pieces that are so nice to find & wear. I'm not finding so many of them around these days.

Hi Jewels1900, is there a chance it could be Scandinavian? Also would you know how old it could be. I'm looking forward to going to Newark fair at the end of May, I'm hoping to find some treasures there fingers crossed.

Hi, it's a beautiful necklace! I guess it's not marked in any way or you would have said so. I doubt this is scandinavian since all countries here have a long tradition om marking jewelry made from fine metals.
    12. Jewels1900 Jewels1900, 4 years ago
Hi Jean, I think this is English Arts & Crafts. Earlier rather than later. The bale is quite like one I have on a Saindheim pendant but I think this is earlier. I'm jealous of Newark! I'd love a couple of fairs round about now.

Hi Elisabethan, thanks for your comment, I believe your correct in saying that jewellery from Scandinavian countries are usually marked not like in Britain. I think I'll look elsewhere, I appreciate you stopping by.

Thank you Jewels1900, I have to say that sometimes it does get very frustrating when you can't find the maker but I suppose that's why we come onto CW. You think this pendant is earlier rather than later, are we talking around the 1900s? Also would you know if their is a name for this type of bale, I don't suppose there is, I'm clutching at straw here, lol.
Newark will be my first antique fair, I have no idea what to expect, have you any advice to give me. The only thing I know about Newark it is one of the biggest antique fairs in Europe. Thanks again for your help, I hope you and your family are well.

Could it be Native American Indian, or from Mexico? Has that look to me! My wife would love it though! :^) Nice find!
    17. Peasejean55 Peasejean55, 4 years ago
Hi billretirecoll, interesting thought but I'm more inclined to think it's European, I will indeed do some research on Native American and Mexican pendants and see what comes up. Thank you very much for your comment:-))
    18. billretirecoll billretirecoll, 4 years ago
There was a lot of moonstone in the Indo-Asian jewelry too! :^)
    19. Peasejean55 Peasejean55, 4 years ago
Yes I know Moonstones, especially Sri Lankan Moonstones are used in Asian jewellery, I'm not sure about Chinese. This pendants style is more in keeping with British Art and Crafts but that is only my opinion, I could be wrong. I have looked at Native American and Mexican silver moonstone pendants, I haven't seen any remotely like this pendant, I shall of course look at Indo-Asian pendants, thanks yet again for your help.
