This 1" wide buckle is marked Germany and looks like a transition from Edwardian to Nouveau. I don't have test kit for silver, but I think it is. The first picture shows a little red which is camera glare. Beautiful and delicate!

Thank you Jean for your first love.

Thanks Rose - it is silver plate because it cleans up beautiful.

Thanks Lisa - not pliable - it's not fine silver....

Hi Lisa - do you mean the Gibson girl waist blouses? You're right, silver is soft and easy to gently put back in shape. :-)

Thank you dear Wandlessfairy and Judy for your nice comments :-)

Thanks to all for loving this buckle: Karen, fort, Bonnie, Hel1, Roy, Mike, Elisabeth, Ken, Mike, Kyra and Phil!

Me too my friend! But, I'm glad I missed the corset era. LOL, I refuse to wear Spanx now :-) I love those fashions and happy not to wear them except for the jewelry and accessories!

lol@Valentino -- Can you imagine the Corset era? Those POOR ladies....

A love, love! You could actually use lots of different fabric to make belts for these. Just make sure there is a snap at each end. You could go from leather, velvet, satin to jean and everything in between!

Hi Rose - I can't imagine the corset era!!

Share - so true about different fabrics. This could also work as a choker with velvet ribbon. LOL. I probably wouldn't do that unless it was for a costume event - just to show it off for the night :-)

Thank you friends for your loves: Kevin, Bijou, Sean, Peggy, Ted, Aura, Radegunder, Jlmam, betweenthelens!
