Hi. Can anyone help me with this mini stiletto. Its a CK. 9097? Stainless Italy. Bone or horn scales. Green/brown white. Maybe synthetic. Brass liners. Narrow clip point blade. Thumb lock release on back. Just cleaned it up a bit and its quite an impressive little thing!
Thank you. Great to be here! Yes shes a real beaut in the hand. I cant find anything anywhere on it. The brass and stainless has come up a lot better than in the pics.
Have a cheap version made in mass production, Nothing like this! is the spring strong? DON'Y try it on your leg LOL as these were made to kill by resting on someones neck and press the switch twice first killed second to retract the blade.
Later versions often made with a weaker spring as a novelty item but handy for moving day, All versions are illegal to carry most places.

Hi PoliticalPinbacks! This one isn't a switchblade. Its a mini stiletto lockback although clearly modelled on a switchblade stiletto Italian style. I've loads of stuff to show and tell and ask! Lol. Thanks for the welcome!
Wow, there's so much miss-information here I hardly know where to start. First, this is not a "pen" knife. It's a jack knife. Pen knives have a blade(s) at each end. Jack knives have their blade(s) at one end. Stilettos like yours are made in all sizes from about 1 1/2" to 8-9" (closed length) and some are even longer.
They are also made in switchblade models BUT like yours they open out the side not straight out the front so they can't be put "on someones neck and press the switch twice first killed second to retract the blade." There is what's often called an "out the front" or "NATO" switchblade that has a blade that comes straight out but the nature of the mechanism is that it has a weak spring and you can hold it on your palm an push the switch and it will pop out and bounce off your skin. After not deploying completely and locking, the blade is totally loose and won't retract. Additionally there is an automatic knife which must be cocked by pulling a slide out it's back end opposite the blade end. It powers an ice pick-like spike. The spring is powerful and the spike definitely will drive into your skull BUT, it will not retract.
Currently, switchblades are legal to carry in about 35 states but there are Federal laws against taking them across state lines "for commercial purposes."
UncleRon---it aint a switchblade obviously. Plus the "pen" blade is visible. Its a lockable clip point.
Rod- If a folding knife has only one blade (or multiple blades at the SAME end) it is a JACK knife. Knife shapes or designs have particular names called "patterns." In this case the pattern is called a "stiletto." It doesn't matter what the shape of the blade is. Often a jack knife has two blades and the smaller one, usually a spear point, is called the pen BLADE. A pen KNIFE is a knife which has a blade(s) at BOTH ends. Pen knives have pattern names too, like "Senator" or "Whittler," but they must have at least one blade at each end. Somewhat confusingly, the antique knives actually made to make writing pens out of feather quills are usually jack knives and the PATTERN is called a "quill" knife.
