    Received this cookie jar from my mother-in law.
    Belonged to her grand ma. It was her "Wedding Gift" -
    (in those days everything was so "precious' she kept it in perfect condition)

    Did not found any like this on any references site.
    Jar is approx 13.5" tall
    Marked on the Bottom: Dumbo Pluto ©Walt Disney "23L" USA .

      It may be a cookie jar made by Ludowici-Celadon. They are a company that makes roofing tiles starting in 1893. During WWII they didn't have any work so they made cookie jars. They had a contract with Disney to make 4 different jars. Each was a two sided cookie jar called a "Turn About". Mickey/Minnie, Dumbo/Dumbo, Donald/Jose Carioca, and I can't find what the 4th was. This may be it. Dumbo/Pluto. Can you post a clear picture of the bottom and show the markings?
