I bought this is at the Goodwill near me and I was wondering if anyone can verify that this indeed the 1885 Gillinder & Sons vaseline glass of the pattern called Leaf. The actual color of this is not really shown properly in this picture. The color is more greenish than yellow. I bought ALL of it, being the 10 pieces, for $9. I think they are beautiful and cannot wait to use them. Also if this is authentic Gillinder is is true Vaseline glass or uranium glass? If this is true vaseline glass then this will be my first piece. Thanks.

it's gorgeous. Ten pieces for $9 is a bargain no matter what it is! Found this which I imagine you have already seen:

Here is the website for Gillinder Glass. They also have a Facebook page. I would recommend contacting them. From what I've been able to find, your set looks to be original.

Be extremely careful using them. One tiny chip will ruin their value....maybe a nice display cabinet where they can be viewed safely is a better alternative. :-))))

What a find! I found the bowl only over the Easter weekend for $35 Canadian and I thought I was lucky!
