    Antoine Gustave De Bruyn ( 9 /12/ 1838, Louvain, Belgium - 11 /08/1916, Lille, France.) was a belgian "barbotine" maker who started his business in belgium without success.... after then he moved to france in LILLE north of france in the area " Wazemmes" called "the small belgium" where his work beginn to be appreciated, after then he moved to the area FIVES, where built his factory who give the factory name " DE BRUYN FIVES - LILLE" the the anchor, and DB embossed mark.

    this sample is one of technic developped by de bruyn called "gavlanoplastie" applied layer of copper with electrolitic method. the pottery is in a "bath" and the copper is apllied on it in same way to all metal plated items.

    L 33cm enjoy.
