So this little tea set is made of wood and came in a basin. The basin is 2 1/2" across and 1" high, you can judge the size of the other pieces from there. The teapot style looks Japanese to me so I'm guessing this is either a toy or a souvenir of some sort? I seem to recall there was a word for a type of basin that carried away the pieces of a tea ceremony. If anyone knows more about this set, please feel free to share. Thanks for looking.

Interesting... it is very mini indeed! Too mini for a traditional tea ceremony. Very puzzling... maybe you're right, it could be a souvenir or display set?

BCV, it could be a toy tea set or could be a souvenir. :)
