Salvaged a few of these last weekend. They are NOS Vintage cider containers made from waxed cardboard with a metal ring at the top to hold the cap.

After you finish drinking the cider at the football or baseball game knock the bottom off and use it to cheer on your team!! Great piece bobby725

      Hey bobby725,
This is a really cool item. I happen to have an old " Cashmere Bouquet Talcum Powder" container that is made from cardboard and is shaped like your cider container but smaller. It was made by the Colgate Palmolive Peet Co. It says on the back that it is the "New Victory Package" that saves metal. I believe it dates around the 2nd WW, when everyone was rationing different items for the war effort. That may be what yours is since it is so unique. I did not mean to take up all your time on here, just wanted to add my 2 cents. Thrifty
