This Victorian glass vase is made from two layers of cased glass, salmon pink over a pale, custard yellow interior, which contains uranium & glows under UV light. It measures 12.3 cm tall, 2.3 cm across the top rim, & 4 cm across the base. This is an example of Crushed Strawberry glass by John Walsh Walsh. It is interesting to see the two colours swirling together on the base of the vase.

It's such an interesting colour combo, almost like a rich icecream mix.

Mmm 'crushed strawberry' what a delicious description.

racer4four - it is one of my all time favourite Victorian cased glass types - bringing together two gorgeous colours. I am crazy about salmon pink & that pale, opaque uranium yellow known as custard.
Thanks also, Vintagefran - that is the original name given by the manufacturer back in the day - still sounds wonderfully evocative today, for a glass that looks almost good enough to eat!
