    katherines…
    (247 items)

So yesterday I was in a shop and saw this on a shelf and wham, my hand went out and grabbed it and put it in the cart and set it on the counter and paid for it, the whole time my brain was saying, whoa, wait, what, why -- don't know why, totally lost control, couldn't stop myself. But anyway, here it is, a tabletop candelabra consisting of clear glass, three bright orange-red floral holders with green leaves and an applied green vine and deep red flower. Big and heavy, 10" tall by 8" across. Haven't been able to find anything like it, if any of you have any ideas on who made it, please share. Thanks for looking.

MYSTERY SOLVED: racer4four believes this glass is Chinese, and I'm comfortable with that ID. :)

I have a tea light holder just like the blossoms on your candelabra. I have the same sort of glass flowers on long, green glass stems. These kinds of beautiful creations can come from a number of places, China being one of them. I've never seen a candelabra like this one and I certainly would have bought it, too!

I don't think this is a Murano creation, as the glass seems too thick.

Thanks for the love, VikingGirl, TassieDevil, mikelv85, JImam, Efesgirl, and aura. :)

Thanks, Bonnie, don't know what came over me, lol! It's a hard one to figure out, isn't it? The base is perfectly formed, and it isn't molded. Not a bubble anywhere. It is expertly made, no flaws. I've searched but nothing comes close. Mystery!

I love this; it fits right into my glass that makes me happy category.
I agree it's probs Chinese, mainly because of the working of the glass and the colours.
The problem is we are so used to expecting Chinese glass to be flawed, or have a daggy base, but they can make great glass, depends on the factory. This has been hand made, albeit production volume, and it's a nice job. I would love to see it in candlelight!
