Looking for information on this lamp to find a replacement shade. It looks to be a kerosene or oil lamp converted to electric. The bracket for the shade is about 12" diameter and the shade was glass. Thanks!

Is there a knob to raise the wick when it was kerosene? If so is there anything written on it?

This is a Reproduction Aladdin "Lincoln Drape" lamp made in the 1970-80's that was sold as an oil lamp with a model 23 burner. Someone has electrified it by putting a socket in the gallery. These Glass Aladdin lamps originally had parchment shades that sat on a spider/trivet but nowadays people use glass shades and install these 10" or 12" shareholders to hold them. An original Aladdin glass shade that were used on the old Model metal lamps are still around but are very expensive....even the reproduction glass shades are pricey. Even though this is a repro lamp, it is still a nice pattern to have and I'd try to find a decorated shade that fits your home decor and keep using it as an electric lamp. You can still buy model 23 burners and clinch-on burners from lamp stores if you want to return it to an oil lamp. RER

I meant to say Clinch-on Chimneys in the last sentence. RER

I think the brass ring is way too big. Picking up parts would not be a bad idea to make it better looking.
