I'm not great at identifying types of stones. This looks like Turquoise with gold veins. Would be nice if it was a piece of Kingman Turquoise, but somehow I don't think so.....still, not bad for a 7,50 investment.

    :-))))))

    Thanks for looking!

Bonnie, I went in my 1st Goodwill today, (also 1st I've ever seen) and all I saw was your basic junk jewelry. Do you have a silver magnet ?

LOL bb2! I hear you about the junk jewelry. That's all I saw yesterday, too. I hope today is different!

They sort it out at all our op shops; I don't know where it goes. I'm lucky to find a kid's necklace made from dried pasta and tin foil.
I really like the ethnic look of this, chain and all.

I did buy a led desk lamp there. The transformer was burned out !

"Thrift shops" have become soooooo greedy!! Even things that aren't worth the time it takes to look at them have stupid prices.

You are so right about the greed of thrift stores. But the GW closest to my home, price their own items. Where as our SA stores have a main store where all donations go to first, they look them up, price them and then distribute the items to the various stores. Many times you can find something in one store that you know is part of a set, then see other pieces in a different SA store. My ideal situation would be for the donors to tape or bag things together before they donate. But that's only realistic in a perfect world.....lol
But I'd proudly wear this necklace, I love the chain! Isn't that link called a snake link?
      Very nice find!
