I found this pretty butterfly brooch at a yard sale today for $.50. It is a filigree and enamel butterfly and is marked 800 on the back. It also has a star With a number beside it and then GF.

Your pretty brooch was made in Italy. There is no "GF" so is likely to be GE for Genova.
