Very nice!! Valentino97, thanks for the info on pearls. I have....about 6 or 7 necklaces from the jewelry you know I recently inherited. Some I know are real as they're in their original boxes and tagged by Mom. I didn't realize about 'knotting' that should be seen. I did set aside a necklace and bracelet as the clasp was very cheap looking (exactly what you said) and they just didn't look...like the rest.
I was going to pull out my Mikimoto (sp) pearls I was given as a gift 30 years ago (need to be restrung but I'm so nervous about letting someone have them) to compare against 2 of the necklaces I'm unsure of but maybe that is not a good comparison?
