i bought this on ebay as a 'RARE Japanese old IMARI blue-and-white porcelain tea bowl of fine tone' and it says that it was made between 1850 and 1899, but the glossy surface without a single little scratch says to me that it's brand new. i bought two pieces from the same seller - same description and they both appear brand new to me. what do you think?

I am always wary of antique items without wear, but anything is possible. if this was important enough, it could have been kept in a box, and its not like they had big old cast iron sinks or dishwashers. I would take a look at all the items the seller has sold. Maybe not as old as told.

it is not a mistake, i am not skilled enough in blue and white , but i think this is not edo and not meiji and not even taisho, i think its the wrong kind of japanese blue, it think this contemporain
