I found this today at my favorite segunda. a friend from guatemala insists that this is the black christ of Esquipulas, but it has 'Mexico' scratched into the back. i think it's made of cement or concrete. it's quite heavy.

i just put a couple of better photos of this up. it's so dark that it's hard to get a good shot of it.
