I just finished refurbishing my father's very old machinist too box. It has a unique door towards the top which opens forward. Does anyone know anything about this. tool box. Thank you. Mark

The plans have been available for ages @ so people who were good with wood made their own @ the few I've looked at were so well made that you would think the were factory. There are no markings ?

No, unfortunately no markings. I could only see what I think were the remnants of the glue from a glued-on label on the right side. It's extremely well-made, though, and you might think it was factory made. It survived probably 30 years in the shop and another nearly 50 years in an unheated garage in CT. Very hot summers to below zero winters and it has never even flinched. It was caked in oil and grease, totally black.
