Nice example of an older flat top. I put rare in the title because I do not come across many flat tops of this era. Happy to hear what other collectors have discovered.... to me it seems they made way more dome and barrel top trunks in the 80's -90's. This one has gorgeous tin work and hundreds of tacks - the back is done in the same manner as the front. This one goes to my future daughter-in-law....
(completely rusted over when I purchased it --decided not to paint but rather took off the rust with drill bit put on rust inhibitor and then gun oiled) Patent date on slat clamps read oct 77 - Taylor parts?
