    Officially Recognized Commemorative of the ARBA - Lic. No. 76-19-0543 Authorized under Public Law 93-179 - NG Slater Corp. NYC 10011 plus a union bug
    ARBA = American Revolution Bicentennial Administration
    These show some well known players like George Washington, John Paul Jones, Betsy Ross and Paul Revere and some much less known like Count Casimir Pulaski, Philippo Mazzi, Mary (Molly Pitcher) Hays and Crispus Attucks
    One 48 Star "Our Flag" c1940 Lithograph button stamped Geraghty & Co Chicago Ill
    The 48 Star was used from July 4th 1912 to July 3rd 1959
    and
    One 33 Star "Rally Round the Flag Boys" Spanish-American War 1989 Celluloid Button with Whitehead and Hoag back paper
    The 33 Star flag was used for only two years from July 4th 1859 to July 3rd 1861

      What a thrilling display of "Pinback Power" you own!!!
      Crispus Attucks was black I believe started out a runaway slave.

      PCC From what I found mostly on Wikipedia there is some debate about that they say he was probably a Native American slave OR freeman, merchant seaman and dockworker of Wampanoag and African descent. Circumstantial evidence suggests his father may have been Prince Yonger, an African-born slave and his mother, Nanny Peterattucks, a Natick Native American
      His main claim to fame (but what a way to get it) is he was the first person killed in the Boston massacre, in Boston, Massachusetts, and is widely considered to be the first American killed in the American Revolution. Wikipedia
      There is a few shown with an interesting history

      UPDATE 1898 date found for the bottom Right Flag button from The Spanish-American War.
