This is from the recent Captain Action/Captain America version from about 5 years ago. It was made by Round 2. I Probably should have done this with the Steve Rogers mask but they are hard to put on. I plan to get a separate set for that.
This features the original triangular shield plus Captain America has a side arm. A GI Joe .45 with an Ultimate Soldier belt. In the recent movie set in WWII he was armed and I thought I would go with that.
The triangular shield did not last long and soon he got the indestructible round shield which became his primary weapon.
Also included is a replica of the Daily Bugle front page of when Captain America was found frozen by the Avengers. Photos by Peter Parker.

      This is great.
Two years ago VMan went to a comic convention as this version of Captain America, and he was pleased when all of the comments were positive about his outfit and that he chose the first version. I was glad my sewing held up, but unfortunately as kids do he's grown out of the outfit now!

I kinda like the WWII side arm , I noticed a 20 inch or so tall batman at a new re-sale shop in town for $10 that seems cheap but with no good place to put he stands there alone ;D

Thank you very much racer4four. That was a great choice for a costume. I am sure there were plenty of other Captain Americas but his choice would stand out. You should have used unstable molecules like the Fantastic Four use then his costume would still fit.

Thank you very much Political Pinbacks. I think that Batman was from DC Direct. Not sure if there is much of a market for the 20" figures.

Great Captain America figure, fits right in with today's Avenger movies, he's still a superstar!
