I bought this 16.5" aluminum necklace at the Pasadena City College swapmeet last month where I met up with our friend Shareurpassion. I'm not sure if it's as old as the 1950's - most likely 70's. Either way a beautiful and bright necklace. Needs some cleaning up - a few beads are pitted. I plan to restring it and add beads near the clasp to make this more comfortable to wear - 17 or 17.5". Cool old beads! I kick myself for selling 2 late 40's-1950's bracelets years ago. I didn't know they were special. One was a cuff made for a small wrist - definitely were the post WW2 "trench art" items.

Hi Karen - we got together for a DAY and it was definitely a day of laughter. She is a very sweet and funny person.

Thanks friends for loving this geometric beauty: Thomas and Judy :-)

Love it, val, it's quite different, very interesting. Wow it's going to look great on a black tee!

Too bad about the others BUT...Guess what I have, hmmm??? Black Hematite beads that would look awesome mixed in with these. Some are square, others small rounds and some odd shaped ones that are very cool. Even some are shaped into hearts! You are welcome to them, I know you'll bedazzle them just right!

Bwahhahaha I just saw Karen's comment and your response! Hey Karen, one of the things we got to see was a squirrel trying to protect it's prize nut from Heckle, you know, the black crow...Jeckle was nowhere to be found!!! I tried to get a pic of it but no way. And let me tell you, Val is a card herself...and so patient! ;)))

Thank you bijou! It will look great on black.

Share - I have all those hematite beads in my hoard (geez!) but I don't like wearing them around my neck since they are magnetic. Jut my strange Scorpio adversion to magnets. Reminds me - but off the subject - I was helping a customer find a new bra, fitting her in the dressing room and she had a credit card stuck to her left ....ahem.... All I could think was "that magnetic strip was up there by her heart". I know that is a silly thought. She said "oh, that's where my credit card is!" Ha ha ha ha!!

Yes Kyra we did have a lot of fun! Thanks for loving my beads.

Thank you friends for loving another type of silver metal: Caper, Fort, Hel1, Mike, Jlmam, Phil, Badpenny :-)

OMG you had me laughing...then all of a sudden, I thought wow, does that lady have a pacemaker??? It's actually not a silly thought at all, well I don't think it is either. I saw those and had some wonderment going on as well, what's it doing to my insides???

Now, with all that said, are all hematite magnetic? Then I don't know what kind of stone it is that I do have because they look exactly like hematite, are heavy but not magnetic! That's just too funny, there I go telling on myself again!!! Duh!

Hematite is magnetic. Even if you don't have a pacemaker. My heart is pounding a little right now....ha ha ha...it's probably just me and my weirdness.

Good to know that for sure then. I'll just have to show them to you and you will probably know what they are because now I have no idea at all. Soon ok?

Thank you Gudrun - I am bummed that I didn't know my bracelets were special - I sold them because they weren't sterling....Sad.
