    this is lucy, my wonderful 10 yr old chih mix [with miniature pinscher, i think]. the crock is small - like for butter or something. i didn't think much of it, but now i think it's older. ??

      I have several of these little pottery bowls. The came with pate (accent on the e), and when it was finished you had a very pretty bowl to keep.

      I remember them in the UK at the end of sixties and probably into seventies in our local grocery store. I never ever thought I would see one on CW.

      They came in a blue colour but with different shades of blue, and different patterns.

      Mine came over to Canada from England with me in '69. It was around the time when there were new tariff rules regarding different foods from Europe. (Not the EU that was much later.) I think they're French.

      Aren't they lovely? I never thought I would see one on CW!
