    Why? Well because it is so wonderful. Cute 2 piece wood and metal salt and pepper novelty with Japan sticker. The pepper was dispensed through his beak. Makes me laugh to look at this. I don't use old S&P shakers though - and thank the hoarding gods I only have a dozen S&P shakers. It would be SO easy to collect more :-)

    I love old tea and hand towels too as shown in the last picture.

      Love s&p shakers too, but gave mine away some time ago Mary....too easy to get out of control with those lol!
      Old tea towels are great aren't they!

      I can see why S&P shakers are so addictive to collectors. They are just irresistible. The ingenuity of the design, ah... so fab!

      Karen - smalls are easy!! Tea towels, table cloths, napkins, hankies - Love Them!

      Judy - too many S&P is too much dust!! Yes, I love tea towels.

      Bijou - Very Addictive. I have to restrain myself. So funny I agree!

      Thomas - Well....no one is REALLY sure what a do do bird looked like. LOL

      He is a little cutie! Looks Scandinavian to me. I love those old towels too, no lint left over and they are great for steam ironing!

      Share - yes, has that 1960's teak feeling. Yes, agree about those old tea towels - they make great press cloths. I need to find more of these....
