This is my collection so far with only 5 pieces in it. I'm wondering about basic information on them such as when they were made, are they rare/valuable, what the characters mean etc.? Some have numbers on the bottom- the teapot has number 9, the 2 vases 13 and 60 and the turquoise piece 21. The sugar bowl has no number at all on its bottom

These are all modern pieces made for export ( English on the base). The characters are likely to also say "Made In China". I live in The Netherlands and can buy these in my local Asian food store. Not rare or valuable.

Thanks for the info Efesgirl! I had an idea that it wasn't very valuable considering it had English written on the bottom and in the past few months I have found 5 of them all in local charity shops!

I think they are nice and could be the start of a collection.

The characters like on your bowl not only read Made in China, but also the province in which they where made. Additional characters normally boast how this province/factory is the best in China. Some overly boastful as to say this province is like 'the center of the universe' if they where translated into English. The numbers you see on your items, and sometimes letters are the factory numbers. Eg. Factory N or Factory 32.
