    Hi everyone,
I've seen vases like these before, described as Victorian English, maybe Stevens and Williams.
The cranberry one is very similar to the little vase I posted the other day.
    Both have rough pontils.

    Thank you

What a gorgeous duo Fran! I love that fine threading and the collars before those floaty rims. They make me feel all girly :)

Utterly charming! As English as a good cup of tea. I think the threading was strictly decorative on these, as match strikers tend to be small, spherical items.

Thank you Karen and IronLace.."As English as a good cup of tea" that made me smile & is exactly what I'm drinking at the moment :) I've seen the round match strikers, I wondered if they might be because of the threading but thinking about it I agree, they're a bit delicate for striking matches, the round ones are thick and heavy.

These are very nice, didn't make me feel a bit girlie though! :^D
      Thanks for showing Vintagefran! :^)

These are great Fran! I love the stripes, the applied riggaree and pinched rims! It all comes together nicely :)
