This is the same shape and has the same Jugendstil style of decoration as the previously posted blue ones and all are missing their original metal rims.

There is the only to be expected wear to some of the fine painted lines.

These are all awesome. I wonder why they would all be missing that rim? Do you suppose someone took them off to clean them and couldn't get them back on??? Hey, at least they all match, right ;) Yep, love them all!

Thank you share...... if they are used then washed it weakens the compound used to fix the metal to the glass. In fact one of the orange ones came with a rim. It was filthy inside so I washed the inside. Then I twisted a small tea towel into it to dry it. Pulling the tea towel out removed the collar. I put the rim onto another vase without a rim. That way all of these are the same.

The blue ones and the red one are truly gorgeous. And although the group is lovely too, I'm just not a fan of orange.

Ah, I see. So that means I was right. I just wouldn't see how it would get that way unless they were actually used to hold flowers and dumping the water would create a mess under there. So was the rim silver? That's cool that you had another piece to add it too!

I have a lomp with those raised dots on it and I forget what that is called. The design on these not only has an art deco look to me, it also reminds me of the Native American designs...that may just be me but I get that vibe from them.

The orange is a bit dull but together with red and blue they make a nice bunch.

Gillian and Ivonne, I share your views on the colour of this pair. My mother would have called this colour 'gold'. A true orange would be somewhere between this 'gold' and the red in the middle of the group shot, in my opinion. However I do like the style of the decoration........

shareurpassion The rim is silver and stamped H W L for Henry Williamson Ltd. a British silversmith, followed by three symbols. I'm not surprised this type of decoration occurs in other cultures but I know nothing about Native American art. Thank you for your interest :)

What a beautiful display! A work of art in itself :)
