    This is a nice lacquered wooden brooch. I like the colors against the black background.

    Art-deco'ish in STYLE (maybe not in actual time period).

      I think it is in the Russian stylized art nouveau that came before Deco.

      I don't know why I get these 2 periods/styles confused. A long time ago a friend pointed out that I seem attracted to things with an Art Nouveau look to them...and I was like "huh"? I thought I had educated myself better than that but obviously still not.
