    I am not sure what I got here. It could be a new cheep import or a vintage item; I just have no clue. I put one of my Bakelite bangle beside it, for comparison. The new one is identical in size and feel, but the design is totally different. I searched for a long time and wasn't able to find anything close. The only thing I know for sure is that the bangle is made of some kind of plastic. There are no lines due to manufacturing, but the lines that make it look bamboo seem to be carved.

    Any help would be appreciated even if it turns out to be total trash - LOL

      I agree with you, Mary. I have a feeling it is new too. I have never come across so called "Fakelite" - maybe it is something like that. I will have to do more searching:)
